THE TOWN OF STA ANA(OLD NAME OF SANFRANCISCO) WHERE TAGLIKID WAS LOCATED , AMANDO URSOS WAS THE CHIEF OF POLICE WHEN URSOS PEOPLE from Basiao Bohol  CAME IN THE YEARS 1960S  Most of the Ursos were very happy when they came because Taglikid is abundant of food  in  Basiao Bohol  the Ursos there were living in subsistence economy dependent on fishing.  The lands in Basiao do not have a good soil...  onl camotes( sweet potatoes grow well... While in Taglikid  Its full of fruits and vegeatables 

Amando Ursos and Marciano Ursos organized the people , the manobo natives including the Ursos  people to cultivate the lands in mass planting.. All the lands were planted with coconut and corn... allthese plants grow well because of abundant of rain waters and the lands were good and all Ursos can have their own lands as rhey wish.  Hoever som Ursos Sente families came back to Bohol  not because of hard life but because of the threat of Malaria diseases.  Some Ursos were emploed in the North Sam Logging Company in Patin-ay aside from their own frm lands.. this way the ursos have more income and were very happy.  Other Ursos came to Asuncion Davao to Fe Ursos , the husband of Fe Ursos was amayor of Asuncion Mayor Panfilo Amoren .. thewy were facilitated to be employed in the banana plantations . Some Ursos became businessmen in Tagum Davao also.

Mt Magdiwata of San francisco is the land mark of the town Taglikid is located at the foot of Mt Magdiwata
 
 The old name Sta Ana was changed to San Francisco when Mr. Fuentes became the mayor of the town   Amando Ursos then became the first Chief of Police in 1958  
The businesss of lumber became the source of new opportunities  when the North Sam Company opened its logging camp at nearby Patin-ay with its logging concession at Lucac



PRESENT  SAN FRANCISCO PUBLIC MARKET  THE PLACE WASOF AMANO URSOS ESTERY CALLED AMUR
     Amando Ursos opened an eatery business at the public market of the town.
      The Ursos people came from Sinandigan Ubay Bohol and from Popooo BasiaoSome Ursos did not able to stay for long at Taglikid  not because of economic hardship but the threat of deaths due to Malaria diseases. Mt Magdiwata was still a virgin forest when they came thats why mosquitoes were prevalent that caused malaria Some Ursos went back to Bohol but Ursing decided to stay at the eatery restaurant of Amando Ursos...

         The marriage of Fe Ursos to MaYor Panfilo Amoren was a blessing to some Ursos it gave them another option aside from returning to Bohol
         Fe asked them if they are willing to work in the vanana plantations in Asuncion. Some Ursos agreed to Fe and they went to Asuncion.

  Tani Ursos one of those who came to Asuncionwas assisted by Mayor Amoren  he was employed to the BuraEu of Land as one of the surveyors in the titling of lands
               For not too long  Ursing followed some Ursos and came to her sister Fe Ursos Amoren. pportunities in Tagum  the adjacent town of Asuncion had provided Ursing with oppportunities for a job

             

 Tagum was a booming town with the banana industries   Ursing was later on was married to Estaban Timaan. Their first baby is a girl they called her Rowena and she is followed by Marievic then Maria Suzette followed by a baby boy they called Mario Arnold

Maria Suzatte went to Canada and established her own family there




  

Mario Arnold became a salesman  and established his own family in Tagum

The night was bright with the moonlight over the serenity of the farm of Amando Ursos. We have arrived in Taglikid through the Bukidnon Bus from Davao.
